Venture Into A Mountain
Explore the original workings of the mine as you feel, hear and smell what it was like to be a Colorado miner over 100 years ago! The only authentic mine tour in Summit County. Tours are approximately 45 minutes long and every hour on the hour. Wear a hard hat, hear the drills and venture 1,000 feet underground.

Explore The Mine Site
Examine original mining equipment, old photos and fun exhibits to revisit the past. You can climb on a steam shovel, visit the gift shop and experience the thrill of sliding down a 55 foot ore chute.
 
Find And Keep Gold
Hear the cries of "GOLD!" Gold pan in Eureka Creek in the summer or inside by a cozy stove in the winter. Finders-keepers and most people find specks of real gold and take them home in a vial as a great Colorado souvenir.

Pet The Burros
To complete the mining scene gentle and friendly burros roam the mine site. Each summer we have a new baby burro. The burros love attention and like to pose for pictures.
